IMPORTANT NOTICE: I will be doing all private and court related sessions via video chat and telephone at least through June of 2024. At this time, I am able to perform in person child custody evaluations, supplemental and partial/limited scope child custody evaluations as well as 733 reports. I am continuing to provide virtual sessions with private clients, as well as reunification, co-parenting, 3190 and most other court related services. Mitchell Rosen received his Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from San Francisco State University and Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology from Antioch University.  Mr. Rosen completed a 3,000 hour internship at Kellogg Psychiatric Hospital in Corona CA and is licensed in California as a Marriage & Family Therapist, license #: MFC 9502.

His experience at an acute psychiatric hospital educated Mitchell to a broad spectrum of emotional disorders including major depression, chemical dependency and addictive disorders, suicide, bipolar, schizophrenia, conduct disorders, personality disorders including anti-social and borderline as well as anxiety disorders.


Mitchell's style of psychotherapy is solution focused and short term in nature although he has been trained to facilitate and has some patients who are treated on a more long term basis.  Mr. Rosen went into private practice after working at Kellogg for ten years as a primary therapist for adults, adolescents and chemical dependency patients. Mr. Rosen has had offices in Corona and Temecula since 1988.

In addition to working with psychiatric clients, Mitchell worked for the Corona Norco School District as a consultant for the Department of Special Education. He has also worked for the Riverside County Office of Education as Director of Student Assistance Program Training and provided in-services on such diverse topics as:  Bully/Victim Violence, Angry and Violent Adolescents and Emotional Disorders of Childhood.

His work with public schools included facilitating grief and loss groups for middle schools and individual therapy and anger management for students at Ortega Continuation High School in the Lake Elsinore Unified School District. Mitchell has presented to parent groups at Chaparral High School in  Temecula and Murrieta Valley High School.

In the Fall of 2000, Mr. Rosen was approached by the Press-Enterprise Newspaper and asked to write a weekly column on mental health and family life.  His articles have appeared weekly from 2000 until 2021.  Mitchell was asked to present to the San Bernardino and Riverside County Departments of Mental Health on the topic:  Media and the Mind.  Mr. Rosen has also presented to the entire Bishop Police Department on the topic of Domestic Violence at the invitation of Presiding Judge Dean Stout and to the mediators of the family law courts of Riverside and Hemet on the topics of Co-Parenting and Special Master/Parenting Plan Coordinator. Mitchell lives in Riverside County and believes his best qualifications are that he has been a husband for 30 years and father to a son and daughter.  When not working he enjoys kayaking, riding horses and attempting to keep the drool from his dogs off his clothing.
